DESCRIPTION At Butterfly Conservation, we want to create a world where butterflies and moths are enjoyed by everyone, forever. By making applications to local funds, you can help us to raise funds to support this vision, funding vital conservation actions and engagement activities.

Why we want you To identify local sources of funding for activities which deliver Butterfly Conservation's 2026 Strategy. Working with the Fundraising team at Butterfly Conservation to apply for funding as identified above.

What you will be doing

To research local funding opportunities which align to Butterfly Conservations goals and notify the Fundraising team when opportunities arise. Support other committee members with funding applications where required. ** The skills you need**

  • Organised and efficient with an eye for detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good understanding of the natural world is desirable, but in-depth knowledge of plants, butterflies and moths is not essential as training will be provided.

Disclaimer This role is active year-round. There is flexibility on the days and times which you volunteer. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months. Children aged 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult whilst volunteering. If you are aged 16 or 17, your parent may give written permission for you to volunteer.
